BLEU D'ALPIE
A cult classic from Eurovision 2001—revived in French, rebuilt for the dance floor. Twenty-five years later, the song is finding a second life. In 2001, Mumiy Troll performed "Lady Alpine Blue" at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.
The song quietly faded away—but its creator, Ilya Lagutenko, never forgot it. Twenty-five years later, from Los Angeles, he reached out to Julia Daigle and Polarroi with a plan: to revive the track in French and bring it back to the dancefloor.
The result: a collision between Montreal neo-romantic pop, Los Angeles electronic production, and European alt-dance—spearheaded by Saint Homard Music, a new label linked to Toile Blanche in Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
